das album erschien ursprünglich bereits am 27. september 2005, und zwar beim label decaydance records von fallout-boy-gründer pete wentz. dieser hatte zuvor demos der band gehört und nahm sie unter vertrag, noch bevor sie jemals live performt hatte.
aufgenommen wurden die 13 songs von »a fever you can’t sweat out« in den somd! studios in college park, maryland. für die produktion zeichnete matt squire (good charlotte, the used, taking back sunday) verantwortlich.
das album wurde ein kommerzieller erfolg. die zweite singleauskopplung »i write sins not tragedies« schaffte es in den usa bis in die top 10 der charts.

panic! at the disco wurden 2004 in las vegas, nevada, gegründet. death of a bachelor ist das mittlerweile sechste album der band um mastermind brendon urie. der letzte longplayer too weird to live, too rare to die! stieg 2013 auf #2 der us billboard charts ein.
am 15.01.2016 brachten panic! at the disco ihr neues album »death of a bachelor« auf den markt und sorgten mächtig für wirbel in den usa. nun traten sie mit ihrer erste singleauskopplung »victorious« in namenhaften shows wie jimmy kimmel und good morning america auf und lieferten energiegeladene performances ab.

aufgenommen wurden die 15 titel von »pretty. odd.« im studio at the palms in paradise in nevada. um die produktion kümmerte sich rob mathes in den londoner abbey road studios.
bei dem album handelt es sich um das einzige, an dem bassist jon walker mitwirkte. gleichzeitig ist es das letzte, auf dem sänger und leadgitarrist ryan ross zu hören ist. beide verließen die band 2009.

following the peace obscured ep by bokeh, his joint venture with anthone, katsunori sawa sets yet another mark on the weevil neighbourhood with his first full-length solo artist album on the label. titled secret of silence the eight tracks-spanning work of kyoto based sawa drills through japan techno, industrial breaks and noise while flirting with breakcore and a more aggressive take on dub.
katsunori sawa has been with the label for pretty much four years now with solo projects as well as joint ventures (besides the aforementioned bokeh, he’s also part of steven porter with his brother in arms yuji kondo with whom he also runs their own 10 label). his musical career reaches back another few years when he was writing and producing under eoc (short for enormous o clock), including an album for ai records.
the release comes as a limited edition 12” record on black vinyl with artwork by l.a. based lee noble (no kings records/ bathetic).
